Old Mac upgrade service

OpenCore Legacy Patcher Installation Service

Apple stopped updating your Intel Mac, but it can still run a newer macOS. We install and configure OpenCore Legacy Patcher remotely, apply the right root patches for your model and make sure Wi-Fi, graphics and updates keep working.

Who it’s for

Give an older Mac a few more good years

OpenCore Legacy Patcher (OCLP) is a free, open-source project from the Dortania team that lets many Intel Macs from around 2008 onward run macOS versions Apple no longer supports on them.

It’s powerful, but it involves firmware-level boot changes and root patches that are easy to get wrong. We handle the setup, pick the macOS version that runs best on your model and show you how to update safely afterwards.

What we take care of

  • Checking your exact Mac model and its limits
  • Choosing the best supported macOS version
  • Building and installing OpenCore to the internal drive
  • Post-install root patches for graphics, Wi-Fi and more
  • Keeping your data and apps, or a clean install if you prefer
  • Showing you how to apply updates without breaking anything

Good to know

Honest limits of OpenCore Legacy Patcher

OCLP support depends on the model. Older Macs with NVIDIA Kepler or pre-Metal graphics may run newer macOS versions with reduced graphics acceleration, and some features such as certain Continuity functions can be limited.

Support for the newest macOS versions arrives in OCLP gradually and is sometimes experimental at first, so we recommend the most stable version for your Mac rather than always the newest. And because macOS 27 runs only on Apple silicon, macOS Tahoe is the end of the road for every Intel Mac, patched or not.

Is OpenCore Legacy Patcher safe?

It is widely used and open source, and it doesn’t modify your Mac’s firmware permanently. The main risks come from wrong settings or patches, which is exactly what we handle for you. We still recommend a Time Machine backup first.

Which Macs are supported?

Many Intel MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac mini and Mac Pro models from about 2008 onward. Send us your model identifier (Apple menu, About This Mac, System Report) and we will confirm.

Do you need physical access to my Mac?

No. Everything is done remotely while you’re at the Mac. You’ll need a 16 GB+ USB drive and a stable internet connection.

Is this the same as a Hackintosh?

No. OCLP runs newer macOS on genuine Apple computers. A Hackintosh runs macOS on non-Apple PCs. We do both.
