Before you buy

Three rules that save money

  • Graphics first. The GPU decides whether macOS can run well. If a part is not on the supported list, nothing else matters.
  • Buy for Tahoe, plan for Windows. macOS Tahoe is the final Intel release, so choose parts that will also serve you well in Windows or Linux later.
  • Check the exact model. A laptop or motherboard revision can change the Wi-Fi card, audio codec or trackpad. Send us the exact model for a free check before you buy.
